Counseling

Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT)

Our intimate yet convenient office setting provides a private and confidential space for individuals and families to receive counseling services. With a compassionate and integrative approach, we work with children (6+), adolescents, adults, couples, and families to help them develop healthy coping skills, improve self-confidence, and navigate life’s challenges.

Each client’s treatment plan is tailored collaboratively to meet their unique needs, ensuring a supportive and goal-oriented therapeutic experience. Building a strong therapeutic alliance is central to our work, fostering trust and empowerment in every session.

We also emphasize interagency collaboration, working closely with necessary providers and school personnel to create a well-rounded support system for clients and their families.

We are committed to helping clients build resilience, improve relationships, and work toward emotional well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.

Simply put, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also known as Tapping, is a powerful set of self-help stress-management tools that, once you know how to do it properly, can be used daily to reduce negative emotion to help you live a healthier and happier life.

What EFT is doing is tuning in to the negative patterns that we form around our uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or troubling memories and we tap gently on the different acupressure points while bringing those negative thoughts and emotions to mind.  The purpose and aim is to find relief and to calm the nervous system to promote healing around the emotional or physical issues that hold us back.

The field of research supporting the efficacy of EFT is growing exponentially. Over 275 studies, review articles, and meta-analyses have been published in professional, peer-reviewed journals, and this list is growing.
